Solidea Privacy Policy

Solidea, LLC (“Solidea”), is committed to protecting your privacy. As part of this commitment Solidea has adopted the following privacy policy adhering to the highest standards of protection. In addition, Solidea has voluntarily agreed to comply with the Safe Harbor provisions of the European Community's directive on data protection available to US Organizations.

Website Users' Privacy

Solidea collects personally-identifiable information on certain areas of the Site when users register, request publications or other information and/or apply for jobs. The personally-identifiable information collected may consist of a unique access ID, company or school affiliations, titles, and contact information, such as names, mailing addresses, e-mail addresses, and telephone and fax numbers, and, for recruiting purposes, any other personally-identifiable information on your resume.

Solidea uses your personally-identifiable information to fulfill your requests for information and to evaluate any job applications or other employment-related inquiries that you may submit. We may keep any of your personally-identifiable information on file and use it to contact you for recruiting purposes. Solidea also uses personally-identifiable information to perform statistical analyses of user behavior in order to measure interest in specific areas and articles posted on our Site. The e-mail addresses provided at registration allow Solidea to send e-mail to individuals based on the areas of interest that they indicate during the registration process. Solidea does not use cookies or collect IP addresses.

At no point during the collection of the above data does any third party have access to any user's personally-identifiable information.

Privacy of Data Not Collected Via the Web Site

Solidea may perform consulting services, such as strategic analysis or data management, for clients during which it may be given access to personally-identifiable information of European Union Citizens employed by the client or client customers. At no point does Solidea disclose any of this information to any third party. Solidea affirms that its client's data is the exclusive property of the client and that Solidea will abide by the client's directions in the treatment of its information.

Solidea has enacted and follows reasonable precautions to safeguard the privacy of client data, including requiring all employees to sign confidentiality agreements.

In addition, any third party sub-contractor or vendor working for Solidea and having access to this information through Solidea is (1) contractually required to comply with Solidea' privacy policy, (2) is subject to the European directive or other adequacy finding, or (3) independently ascribes to the safe harbor provisions itself.

Where Solidea acts only as an agent for the collection of client data, all data transfers occur only upon direction of the owner of the data, Solidea's client.

Choice

Acting only as an agent for its clients, Solidea is not required to provide persons whose personally-identifiable information is provided by Solidea' clients an opportunity to choose or opt-out whether the personal information will be disclosed. However, Solidea does not use customer data for any purpose incompatible with those authorized in its client agreements.

Sensitive Information

Sensitive Information, including credit card numbers, is not stored except as directed by the Solidea' clients who own the data, and is not transferred to third parties except as authorized by client.

Onward Transfer

Solidea will not transfer clients' data except with the written authorization of the client. Where Solidea uses third party sub-contractors or vendors having access to client data through Solidea they are (1) contractually required to comply with Solidea' privacy policy, (2) subject to the European directive or other adequacy finding, or (3) independently ascribe to the safe harbor provisions themselves.

Security

Solidea maintains reasonable precautions to protect personally-identifiable information from loss, misuse and unauthorized disclosure, alteration or destruction. Only authorized users, bound by employee confidentiality agreements, have access to such stored data.

Data Integrity

Solidea collects only that data authorized by the client. Where Solidea is directed by its clients to transfer data to a third party, Solidea follows the data masking and confidentiality provisions agreed to by the client and third party.

Access

Solidea will correct, amend or delete any erroneous data if instructed to do so by its clients, subject to the principles of proportionality and reasonableness.

Enforcement

Solidea will allow its clients reasonable access to verify Solidea' commitment to adhere to the safe harbor principles, including transferring a sample of data stored on its systems to the client. Solidea will cooperate with the EU Data Protection Authorities and the Department of Commerce to resolve any complaints and disputes arising in connection with its privacy policy. All Solidea employees will be required to be familiar with and adhere to this privacy policy. Solidea will investigate any reported complaints of violations of its privacy policy and will take prompt remedial action where violations are found. Dispute resolution provisions in Solidea' client contracts will be followed.

The above prohibitions against disclosure of personally-identifiable information are subject only to the following exceptions:

1. Solidea may disclose your personally-identifiable information to third parties as required by court order or rule or other similar order or rule of any nation or state. Even in this circumstance, Solidea will do everything in its power to disclose only the data required by applicable law or the authorities;

2. Solidea may disclose your personally-identifiable information to third parties who deliver information from us to you for the purpose of performing such delivery.
